Akadama
* 5 litre bag
What is Akadama ?
* THE MAJESTIC ROOTS - AKADAMA is Japanese fired Premium quality further sieved by 2mm sieve grade right before packed (very clean, UNDER 1% volume of dust per bag)
- Akadama is a natural Japanese volcanic clay, mined from the Cryptomerie forests of Japan
- This material has different hardness strength depending on the company brand, with some brands having the clay fired at high temperature and then sieved to obtain harder clay balls and get the desired size. The raw Akadama (not fired) is very soft and breaks down very easily while the harder grades break down slower and are a great addition for soil mixture used for pots and containers
- Premium quality, further sieved by 2 mm sieve grade right before packed (very clean, UNDER 1% volume of dust per bag)
- Slightly acidic PH : 6.5 - 6.9
- Very good drainage (649ml/min) properties with high water retention
- High nutrient holding capacity (CEC - cation exchange capacity) : 31.4meq /100g
Structure components include :
* Silicon (Si) : 15.99 %
* Oxygen (O) : 54.34 %
* Aluminium (Al) : 13.91 %
* Potassium (K) : 0.63 %
* Phosphorus (P) : 0.10 %
* Magnesium (Mg) : 0.54 %
* Manganese (Mn) : 0.30%
* Calcium (Ca) : 0.11 %
* Iron (Fe) : 7.68 %
* Sodium (Na) : 0.34 %
* Carbon (C) : 5.80 %
* 5 litre bag
