What is Expanded Clay?

* THE MAJESTIC ROOTS - EXPANDED CLAY is Premium quality, further sieved by 2mm sieve grade right before packed (very clean, UNDER 1% volume of dust per bag)

- Expanded Clay is an aggregate obtained by heating clay and other amendments to high temperature at around 1000 C and the result is a very light way, very hard material, very porous with a inside honey comb-like structure

- Extremely tough, can be reused endlessly

- Good water retention

- Excellent AFP (Air Filled Porosity) which prevents root rot by providing excellent soil breathability and water drainage

- Neutral PH : 7

- Very low nutrient holding capacity (CEC - cation exchange capacity)
