What is Kiryuzuna (Kiryu) ?

* THE MAJESTIC ROOTS - KIRYUZUNA is Japanese Premium quality, washed, dried and further sieved by 2mm sieve grade right before packed (very clean, UNDER 1% volume of dust per bag)

- Kiryuzuna also known as Kiryu is a natural Japanese volcanic product originating from the region of Kiryu city, Gunma Prefecture, Japan

- Although a volcanic product, Kiryuzuna has a very low AFP (Air Filled Porosity) and has a much higher density then other volcanic products

- Doesn`t break down easily therefore it can be washed and re-used

- Adds soil structure and for this can be mixed with softer aggregates

- Excellent drainage with low water retention properties

- Slightly acidic PH : 6.0 - 6.5

- Very low nutrient holding capacity (CEC - cation exchange capacity) : 11meq /100g

- Structural components :

* Oxygen (O) : 56.33 %

* Silicon (Si) : 20.77 %

* Aluminum (Al) : 10.85 %
